Dragons athletics honored with sportsmanship award

New Palestine High School was recently bestowed the Crossroads Officials Association’s Sportsmanship Award for 2014-15.

The award recognizes the athletics program’s character and sportsmanship across all sports, as chosen by the referees and umpires who work games at New Palestine and other schools across Central Indiana.

“Our student-athletes, coaches, and community can take pride in being selected by the Crossroads Association,” New Palestine athletics director Al Cooper said. “This recognition reflects our mission and further confirms our commitment to fostering sportsmanship in athletics.”
