Restaurant Inspections – May 7

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

April 1

McCordsville Elementary School

Location: 2668 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: NC—light rods over food prep area in back are not working, repair/replace, 90 days.

April 2

Pilot Travel Center

Location: 2640 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: NC—ice machine with small amount of mold inside, five days.

Pizza Hut

Location: 2640 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: NC—hand sink water not hot enough, needs to be at least 100 degrees, five days; soap not dispensing at dish machine, corrected.

Mt. Vernon Middle School

Location: 1862 W. State Road 234, Fortville.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

No violations found.

April 3

Mt. Vernon High School

Location: 8112 N. County Road 200W, Fortville.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Fortville Elementary School
