Arrowhead to host benefit golf event

The Peyton’s Promise Golf Outing in memory of Peyton Belling will be conducted at 1 p.m. May 30 at Arrowhead Golf Course in Greenfield.

Belling died in February at age 3 of cancer. He was the son of Eric and Molly Belling. Molly Belling is a 1994 Greenfield-Central graduate.

All proceeds from the outing will go toward memory boxes for families at Riley Hospital for Children, where Peyton Belling was treated. Memory boxes hold the child’s hand and feet molds that parents receive at Riley when the child passes away.

Entry fee is $65 per person or $260 for a team of four. Cost includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes.

Entry deadline is May 20. For more information, call Tandess O’Neal at 317-462-6072 or email at [email protected].

Wrestling rules on skin checks clarified

A more standardized pre-match procedure requiring referees to perform skin checks or verify that skin checks had been completed on-site by an appropriate health-care professional was approved by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Wrestling Rules Committee for the 2015-16 season.

The actual requirements were not changed, only written in clearer, more specific language.
