Arrowhead to host Peyton’s Promise event

The Peyton’s Promise Golf Outing in memory of Peyton Belling will be conducted at 1 p.m. May 30 at Arrowhead Golf Course in Greenfield.

Belling died in February at age 3 of cancer. He was the son of Eric and Molly Belling. Molly Belling is a 1994 Greenfield-Central graduate.

All proceeds from the outing will go toward memory boxes for families at Riley Hospital for Children, where Peyton Belling was treated. Memory boxes hold the child’s hand and feet molds that parents receive at Riley when the child passes away.

Entry fee is $65 per person or $260 for a team of four. Cost includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes.

Royals boosters sponsoring auction

The Eastern Hancock Athletic Boosters will sponsor an auction at 11 a.m. Saturday in the northwest side of the high school parking lot.

Commercial kitchen equipment, semi trailers, tools, furniture and other items will be auctioned by Roberts Auction Services. Food will be served by the boosters, and cash, check and credit will be accepted for auction items.

New Pal grad advances to CrossFit Games event

Austin Cahoy, a New Palestine graduate, tied for fifth in the recent Reebok CrossFit Games Open Workout. Cahoy completed the 15.5 workout, which involves a specific number of exercises and lifts, in 5 minutes, 31 seconds.

Cahoy advanced to the regional in Minneapolis, Minn., May 29 to 31 with his CrossFit team, CrossFit 417, which placed second overall in the North Central region.

Test drives benefit New Palestine athletics

The New Palestine Athletic Booster Club needs volunteers to sign up and test drive a new Ford vehicle May 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the New Palestine High School parking Lot.

Volunteers are asked to take a 10-minute test drive, and Ford will donate $20 per driver to the athletics booster club.

Volunteers also are needed to ride with test drivers and check forms. These volunteers receive either a golf umbrella or duffle bag and will be provided breakfast and lunch. Contact Melisa Duffy at [email protected] or 317-443-9770 for more information.
