Kenneth L. Garner, 73, of Fortville, died April 23, 2015, at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield. He was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Walnut Grove, Miss., to the late Melvin and Mayola B. (Moore) Garner.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou (Brown) Garner, whom he married on June 1, 1959; sons, Terry (Brenda) Garner of Cape Coral, Fla., Gary (Sheryl “Sheri”) Garner of Fortville and Jamey (fiancée Deidra Ballard) Garner of Fortville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Ernest Garner and Bob (Joyce) Garner and sisters, Fern Myers and Faye Goff.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Ray Garner; daughter, Donna Jo Scearce and several brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at 6p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, the Fortville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ernest Garner officiating.
