Ernestine Knose, 80, of Greenfield, died on April 15, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospice Care Facility in Greenfield. She was born June 5, 1934, in Hagerstown, Indiana, to an Ernest Favorite and Addie (Munden) Favorite.
On Dec. 2, 1950, she married Richard Knose, they we married 64 years, he survives.
Ernestine attended school through junior high, but enjoyed many more years as a housewife and mother. She was a huge Colts fan, and enjoyed cheering on her favorite team each game.
In addition to her husband, Ernestine is survived by her daughter, Terri Bales (Ron) of Bloomville, Ohio; son Larry Knose of Greenfield; son Richard Lee Knose (Linda) of Rising Son; daughter Brenda McPherson (Butch) of Greenfield; daughter Jerri Pelliter (Stan) of Virginia; daughter Debra Kirby of North Carolina; daughter Melinda Johnson of Kentucky; son Ronnie Knose (Vickie) of Greenfield; son John Knose of Greenfield; sisters Audrey Combes, Jenny Neal (Harry), and Ellen Cutshaw (Bob) of Hagerstown; brother Dale Favorite (Cindy) of Hagerstown; many grandchildren; and a special granddaughter Katie Banks.
In addition to her parents, Ernestine is preceded in death by son David Knose; and sister Maxine Lane.
Visitation for Ernestine will be held from 4–8 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Hendryx Funeral Home Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ernestine’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
