Margaret I. Ludwick, Greenfield, IN, Born: March 23, 1925 to Roy & Mary (Foland) Shively.

She started her career at the Anderson Bulletin as a proofreader. She started working at Ford Motor Company in 1957 in Indianapolis. There, she attended and graduated from Indiana Business College. She retired in 1980 after 23 years as the plant manager’s secretary.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 245/364 in Irvington (East Indianapolis) for over 50 years. She lived for several years after the death of her husband, “Lucky”, in Parrish, FL, then moved back to Indiana in 2003 to live with her daughter in Greenfield, IN.

She loved to watch the cardinals coming to eat and the hummingbirds. She was an avid reader and did complicated counted cross-stitch and also was good at beating the family at solving Wheel-of-Fortune and Jeopardy games.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (J. Mike) Davis, two grandchildren: Andrea Mayer (Mike Whiteside), Illinois and Gene Davis, Greenfield also two great-grandchildren, Matthew (Haylee, Izek) Mayer and Shelby (Chris) Mayer-Gandara.  She is also survived by her sister; Martha (Robert) Beason, Blue Springs, Mo., sister-in-law; Sharon Shively, Frankton, IN. and three brothers; Marshal (Janice), Elwood, IN and James Shively of Florida, and Larry (Janet) Shively, Anderson, IN with lots of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband Marvin S. “Lucky” Ludwick, 1994; brother Walter Shively, 2007; parents Roy & Mary Shively; and three sisters-in-law Joyce, Carolyn and Janice. May they all rest in peace.

A very special thank you to Belinda, RN and all staff in the Hancock Regional Hospice Center, and in the Hancock Regional Hospital CICU Unit; they were a compassionate and caring group for my mother and family!

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main St., Greenfield, IN, 46140.  Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
