Barbara Hope Hoover, 94, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Countryside Manor Health & Living Community in Anderson. Born April 15, 1920, in Knightstown, as the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruby (Lewis) Overman.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Herbert Hoover of Anderson; sons Larry Riggs of Clermont, Florida, Michael (Karen) Riggs of Lincoln, Texas; daughter Sharon Rule of The Woodslands, Texas; daughter-in-law Carolyn Riggs of Markleville; step-daughter Laura O’Brien of Anderson; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by former husband Clifford Smith; three grandchildren; brother, Harry Overman; and three stepchildren.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with the Rev. Robert Steele officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
