Carol G. Ivey, 72, of Carthage, passed away Friday morning April 10, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospice in Greenfield. She was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Applegate) Reed.
Carol retired as a custodian from Greenfield High School after 15 years of service. She was an active animal activist and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include son Gary (Carla) Ivey of Greenfield; granddaughter Trisha Ivey of Carthage; grandson Nathan Dice of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Ivey Jr. in 1996; two brothers; and one sister.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Condo and Son Funeral home in Wilkinson with Gary Sickle officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Carthage, Indiana.
