Comics store to celebrate International TableTop Day

GREENFIELD — Celebrate the third annual International TableTop Day Saturday at Hometown Comics.

This event is celebrated with more than 3,000 separate events in more than 80 countries.

The Hometown Comics Game Room will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for board game play and prizes for the winners.

Dixieland coming to Indiana with jazz band

GREENFIELD — Voted one of the top all-time favorite bands by the Indianapolis Jazz Club, the Sunset Stomp Jazz Band will perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday at the Hancock County Public Library in Greenfield.

The seven-piece band is featured regularly at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis. The band’s repertoire includes Dixieland tempos of the 1920s and ‘30s including Jelly Roll’s “Sweet Substitute” and Louis Armstrong’s “Atlanta Blues.”

Sing on the Palladium stage for World Voice Day

CARMEL — The Voice Clinic of Indiana will celebrate World Voice Day with a Big Broadway Sing Along and Open Mic Night at 6 p.m. on April 16 at the Palladium.

Host John Philips and pianist Sean Baker will lead an evening of song and celebration. Attendees have the opportunity to sing along on stage. Admission is free.

The Moving Company to perform at the Artsgarden

INDIANAPOLIS — IUPUI’s The Moving Company student dance troupe will perform from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Artsgarden in downtown Indianapolis.

This nonprofit dance company provides an outlet for student dancers to express themselves through all styles of dance including jazz, modern, ballet, lyrical and tap.
