Fannie “Jani” (Amburgey) Miles, 51, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Greenfield. She was born on Aug. 9, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, as the daughter of M.C. Amburgey and Fannie (Souder) Amburgey Cole.

Jani received her nursing degree from the University of Central Florida. She married Jerry L. Miles on Aug. 18, 2012, in Greenville, Ohio.

She worked as an LPN in Florida for many years. Mrs. Miles was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Greenfield.  She loved fishing, gardening, her church, and spending time with her family.

Jani is survived by her husband, Jerry Miles of New Paris, Ohio; mother Fannie Cole of Greenfield; sons Charles (Kerri) Low of Knightstown, Shane Miles of Hollandsburg, Ohio, and Corey Miles of Celina, Ohio; siblings Tony (Sherry) Amburgery of Carthage, Indiana, Roxanne (Robert) Hawkins, Cindy Krell, Veda (Jim) Smith, and Donna (Michael) Miles all of Greenfield; and grandchildren Kaylie, Gavin, Jeremiah, Deseray, Preston, Carson, Dakota, and Tiara.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Cole; biological father M.C. Amburgey; and brother Keith Cole.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield, IN, 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 1202 E. 5th St., Greenfield, IN, 46140. Pastor Joseph Riggs will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
