Dora Perdue, 85, of Greenfield, passed away and went to be with her Lord on April 3, 2015. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky, on Nov. 27, 1929. She was the daughter of Virgie and Benton Cornett.

She worked for Indianapolis Public Schools and Fager Catering.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, and gardening.

She was a lifelong member of Bible Study Chapel of Indianapolis; then attended Sugar Grove Bible Church of Greenfield.

Dora is survived by daughters Judy Welch, Mary (Mike) Duncan of Ohio, Freda Hodson, Barbara (Doug) Harlow of Ohio, Cyndy (Danny) Duckworth of Florida, and Vicky Robling; son Donnie (Trish) Perdue; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Benton Cornett; her husbands, Josh Caudell and Ray Perdue; sisters Irene and Myrtle; brother Floyd; grandchildren, Michelle, Harger, and Chase Stallings.

The family would like to thank all of the Hancock Regional Hospice Unit for the love and care they gave to our Mother and entire family.

Family and Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, with funeral service at 11 a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Hospital Foundation, in care of Hospice care unit.
