Marauders fall to Fishers on the track

In a boys track and field meet, host Fishers triumphed against Mt. Vernon 92-40.

The Marauders championed three events in the defeat Wednesday. Link Hine won the pole vault (10 feet), Donovan Bigelow raced to a 100-meter dash win (11.83 seconds), and Aaron Rush outlasted the competition in the 1,600 (4:35.5).

“Fishers is a very good team,” Mt. Vernon coach Bruce Kendall said. “We just came off vacation, so we had to shake some rust off. We expect to bounce back against Yorktown.”

The Marauders host Hoosier Heritage Conference rival Yorktown on Tuesday.
