Deadline approaching for grant applications

HANCOCK COUNTY — Hancock County recently received a $8,800 emergency food and shelter grant to provide assistance with food, rent, shelter and transient services.

The Hancock County FEMA board of directors is currently accepting applications from nonprofit agencies interested in administering services.

Funding is provided by the Department of Homeland Security.

The deadline for application submissions is April 10.
