The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Location: 21 S. Main St., Fortville.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: NC/R — clean floors under equipment where debris/grease/grime has accumulated, 90 days; NC/R — clean equipment and storage containers (outsides) so clean to sight and touch, 90 days.

Lincoln Square Pancake House

Location: 118 W. Main St., Greenfield.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C — reach-in cooler by grill is too warm — remove food until can be repaired, corrected; C – employee seen touching cellphone with food-handling gloves on — need to wash hands, change gloves after contamination, before touching food, corrected; NC — repair freezer door so will properly close — make sure all foods are covered and protected from freezer snow, 120 days.
