Ernestine (Morrow) Branscum Perry, 94, of Greenfield, formerly of New Castle, passed away March 27, 2015, at Springhurst Health Campus. She was born on March 3, 1921, in Pulaski County, Ky., to Newell and Angie (Casada) Morrow.

She attended Burnside High School in Burnside, Kentucky. She married Arlie James Branscum, who passed away in 1948, and later married Robert Samuel Perry, on July 3, 1952.

Ernestine had been a devoted homemaker and wonderful mother. She was also a devout Christian who was a very active member of Foursquare Gospel Church in New Castle. She was involved with the women’s committee to serve communion, the women’s prayer group, and she traveled the area to serve communion to those who were unable to attend church. Ernestine was a talented seamstress, fabulous cook and enjoyed crocheting and working in her yard.

She is survived by her children, Vera S. (Greg) Murphy of Greenfield, James Duane (Sue Ann) Branscum of Big Lake, Minn., David N. Perry of Gulf Shores, Ala.; grandchildren, Darla (Mike) Meier of Big Lake, Minn., Dawn (Randy) Tveitbakk of Zimmerman, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Robert Perry Meier, Emily Meier, Sam Meier, Christopher Tveitbakk; and brother, Leonard J. Morrow of Somerset, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Arlie and Robert; grandsons, Paul Tyler Murphy, Brian Samuel Murphy; twin sister, Christine Armentrout and other siblings, Hattie, Clarence, Marion, Virginia, Ed and Eugene Morrow.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, also at the mortuary. Pastor Charles McDonald will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
