Elizabeth Genevieve Offenbacker-Brown, 96, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Manor Care Summer Trace, Carmel. She was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Marion County, Ind., to the late Walter and Lula (Hamilton) Offenbacker.
Genevieve retired from Hancock Memorial Hospital in 1975 after 19 years of service, was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church, OES #64, Past Worthy Matron of the Miriam Chapter, Greenfield and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by son, Donald L. (Roxy) Brown of Carmel, daughters; Janice M. (Asa) Burkett of Greenfield, Ramona Hancock of Carmel; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, several great- great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. Brown, two brothers; three sisters and son-in-law, W. Riley Hancock.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. with Order of the Eastern Star service at 6:45 p.m.. Burial will be 10:30 a.m, Thursday, April 2, 2015, at IOOF Cemetery, Oaklandon, Ind.
