Bentley’s Buddies and Friends in need of reading buddies

HANCOCK COUNTY — Bentley’s Buddies and Friends, Hancock County’s free reading assistance program, is in need of well-behaved, children-loving dogs and their owners to serve as reading buddies at schools in Hancock County.

Volunteers need to be able to commit to an hour a week, bi-monthly or monthly to help students improve their reading.

BBF will be at the Nutty Mutt from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 28, 16 W. North St., to hand out information about the program, answer questions and pre-screen dogs to be reading buddies.
