Carl F. Wayner, 84, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 6, 1930, in Covington, Indiana, as the son of Hester and Carey (Meyers) Wayner.
He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950-1953.
Carl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elvira Wayner of Greenfield; son Jay Wayner of Indianapolis; daughter Candace (Aaron) Sharp of Greenfield; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hester and Carey (Meyers) Wayner and a sister.
Visitation will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield, IN, 46140. A funeral service will take place at 4 p.m., immediately following the visitation. Pastor Mark Watkins will be officiating.
