HANCOCK COUNTY — The Common Threads Quilt Guild will have Cathy Burkett from “In Stitches” as the guest speaker for the regular monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Mount Comfort United Methodist Church in Mount Comfort.
Burkett will be doing a presentation on “Fun With Panels” and what to do with panels from quilts to ready to wear clothing.
Check the local news stations for school cancellations or delays. The guild does not meet if the Mt. Vernon schools are closed or delayed for weather or road conditions.
Common Threads meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
The upcoming guest speaker for Common Threads on March 18 will be Mary Bauer with “On The Edge.”
