Richard E. Roberts, 70, of Wilkinson, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 10, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital. Richard was born on Jan. 28, 1945 to Ira and Cuma Roberts.
He married Diana Johns on March 16, 1965.
In his youth he enjoyed Harness Racing. He served as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Town of Wilkinson for 35 years. He also served on the Town Board for Wilkinson for many Years.
Richard is survived by his wife, Diana; daughter, Pam (Chris); son, Mark; grandsons, Jeremy, and Mark Jr.; stepgranddaughter, Danielle; brothers, Eddie (Jan), Charles (Cindy); sister, June (Jim); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Cuma Roberts and sisters, Joyce and Kaye.
There will be a celebration of Richard's life at the Wilkinson Fire Dept. from 12 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2015. At 4 p.m. Richard will take his final ride in a Fire Truck.
He will be greatly missed.
