Formal wear for sale at charity event
NEW PALESTINE — The Eva Smalley Charity Event will feature formal wear for sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Doe Creek Middle School in New Palestine.
Items will include $100 wedding gowns, $25 formal gowns and bridesmaid dresses, and $50 tuxedos.
Seventy-five percent of funds raised are donated to the Homes for Haiti organization. The remaining 25 percent goes to Doe Creek Middle School.
The event is named for Eva Smalley, a Fountaintown woman who was killed in a car accident last fall. Haitian missions were close to Smalley’s heart, friends say.
