Thelma M. (Bohall) Newhouse, 92, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born July 11, 1922, in Seymour to the late Otis and Mabel (Spaul) Bohall.
Thelma worked for ten years for Western Electric and later for Shares, Inc. in Greenfield. She was also a longtime member of the Indiana Homemakers Association.
She is survived by her husband, Byron E. Newhouse whom she married June 1, 1958, in Fortville; son, Jimmie Hayse of Fortville; grandsons, Reggie (Sandy) Hayse, Jason (Andrea) Hayse, and Bradley (Kristen) Hayse; nine great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; brothers, Dan (Rosalie) Bohall and Ron Bohall, both of Seymour; and daughter-in-law, Shelley Hayse.
She was preceded in death by her son, Russell A. Hayse in 2013 and brother Willis Bohall, Jr.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
