Martha Jean Ford, 71, of Morristown, died on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born June 23, 1943, in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of Leonard Allen and Helen Mae (Allen) Wallace. On Nov. 15, 1958, she married her husband, of 56 years, Albert "Jay" Ford, and he survives.
Also surviving is her son, Alex J. Ford of Morristown; daughter, Debbie S. Murphy and husband, Tim, of Indianapolis; sisters, Ada, Tiney and Skeets; brother, Joey; grandchildren, Derrick Adam Gaskey, Darron Albert Coy and Kayla Nicole Ford; great-grandchildren, Dayton Avent Gaskey and Alexia Coy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alex J. Ford; sister, Mona Ann Dyer; and brother, Wally Wallace.
A gathering of friends will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Shelbyville Community Church, 720 N 325E, Shelbyville. A memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, officiated by Shelbyville Community Church.
