Through Feb. 20 — Salary arbitration hearings, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Feb. 19 — Voluntary reporting date for pitchers, catchers and injured players.

Feb. 24 — Voluntary reporting date for other players

March 3 — Mandatory reporting date

March 18 — Last day to place a player on unconditional release waivers and pay 30 days termination pay instead of 45 days

April 1 — Last day to request unconditional release waivers on a player without having to pay his full 2014 salary

Greenfield Youth Baseball sign-ups

Registration for the Greenfield Youth Baseball Association Recreational League will be from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 14, 21 and 28 at the Riley Park concession stand, 810 E. Lincoln St.

The league is for boys ages 5 to 16. Practices begin in late March, with games beginning April 18 and continuing through June.

Book fair to benefit Dragons football

The New Palestine Grid Iron Alliance boosters will host a book fair at the Barnes & Noble in Indianapolis (Keystone location, 8675 River Crossing Blvd.) from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 21.

A percentage of every sale that accompanies a special voucher (available at the store and at npgridiron.com) will benefit the Grid Iron Alliance.

A raffle will be conducted for a football signed by the Class 4A state championship New Palestine football team. Players and head coach Kyle Ralph will be on hand at the book fair with the state title trophy.
