Bette Faye (Drummond) Towle, 72, of Greenfield, passed away Jan. 28, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on Aug. 7, 1942, as the daughter of Orbie J. and Mable C. (Shrock) Drummond.
She graduated from high school in Arlington, Va., and later married Lee R. Towle.
Bette worked for as a teacher’s aide at Harris Elementary for several years. She was a member of Calvary Bible Methodist Church and enjoyed scrapbooking and reading in her free time.
Bette is survived by her husband, Lee Towle of Greenfield; sons, Brett A. (Christy) Towle of Greenfield, Derek T. (Lana) Towle of Greenfield and Nathan L. (Stephanie) Towle of Fishers; daughter, Leanne R. (Jay) Jackson of Greenfield; brother, James (Veda) Drummond of Stockton, N.J.; and eleven grandchildren, Jason, Kirstin, Brendon, Cindy, Bryce, Jayde, Klaudia, Paige, Parker, Isabella and Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orbie and Mable Drummond.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, also at the mortuary. Pastor Mike Mater will be officiating.
