Lette J. (Hartman) Jones, 71, of Greenfield, passed away Jan. 24, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Sept. 17, 1943, as the daughter of Richard and Anna (King) Hartman.
She graduated from Tech High School. Lette married James R. Jones on March 31, 1961, in Tennessee.
She worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier in Greenfield for 20 years before retiring in 2008. She loved going to the casino and loved to donate to those in need.
Lette is survived by her sons, Dave Pearson of Noblesville and Tim (Tammie) Jones of Charlottesville; daughter, Brenda Jones of Greenwood; sisters, Sue (Fred) Dunlevy of Greenfield and Judy (Bob) McEvoy of Acton; seven grandchildren, Mandy, Hope, Brittany, Megan, Kaylee, Niki, and Hart; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Anna (King) Hartman; husband, James R. Jones; son, Paul Pearson; and grandson, John Pearson.
Services are to be private and burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be sent to Partners for Animal Welfare Society, Inc. (P.A.W.S.), 1547 N State St, Greenfield, IN 46140 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
