Alan E. Copeland, 59, of Greenfield, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on Oct. 22, 1955, in Shelbyville, Ind., as the son of E. Eugene and Alice L. (Harold) Copeland.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Karen Copeland of Greenfield; daughters, Dalanea (James) Romine of New Palestine and Kelly (Babacar Ndoye) Copeland of Greenfield; one nephew; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Eugene and Alice L. (Harold) Copeland and sister, Conni L. Martin.
A memorial calling will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A memorial service will take place at 7 p.m., immediately following the calling. Reverend Mike Manning will be officiating.
