Betty O. Melton, 74, of Kennard died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1940, in Olive Hill, Ky., to the late Delbert and Leola (Logan) Conley Sr.
Survived by her children, Yvonne Mead of Crawfordsville, Edward “Bud” Harwood of Shirley, Kenny Harwood of Kennard, Tim Harwood of Shirley, Steve (Jennifer) Melton of New Castle, Robert Frazier of Kennard; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Delbert (Karen) Conley Jr., Bonnie (Ronald) Gross, Barb (Wayne) Austin, Mary Lou Huckleby, Sue Parmley; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by husbands, Edward “Bucky” Harwood and Leon Melton; grandchildren, Jesse Sanders and Johnny Harwood; daughters-in-law, Karen and Polly Harwood.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Ryan McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery.
