Ronald “Buddy” W. Wainscott (Fouts), 51, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on Aug. 26, 1963, in Indianapolis as the son of Ronald W. Wainscott and Fran (Garver) Fouts.
He worked for Indy Tire & Auto as a technician for many years. Ron enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Jeff Gordon, Indianapolis Colts, and Indianapolis 500 fan. He also loved fishing and camping.
Buddy is survived by his mother, Fran (Garver) Fouts of Greenfield; brother, Joe (Jennifer) Wainscott of Beech Grove; aunts and uncles, Joan (Ted) Green of Fla., Jay (Mary) Cline of North Vernon, Ind., Ron (Mary) Collins of Greenfield, and Gordon (Ruth) Stine of Fountaintown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald W. Wainscott; step-father, Robert F. Fouts; grandparents, Bill and Viola Wainscott formerly of Brown County, Ind.; and Wilbur and Iva Garver formerly of Indianapolis.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140 with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor David Deem will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
