Larry R. Cochran, 72, of Morristown, passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. He was born April 24, 1942, in Shelby County, the son of Kenneth and Reba (Knowlton) Cochran. He married Glenda Dunham on Dec. 31, 1990, and she survives.

Larry graduated from Morristown High School in 1960 and attended Butler University.

He began working at Western Electric the day after graduating from high school and retired from Lucent Technology in 1997, with 37 years of service.

He was a member of Brandywine Community Church. Larry was also a member of Morristown Masonic Lodge No. 193, where he was past master serving in 1993, 1994 and 2014 and received his 50 year Award of Gold on July 12, 2014; Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis; Shriners International-Murat Shrine Temple; Bartimaeus Lodge U.D., where he was Chaplain; Greenfield York Rite; Honorary Member of several other lodges; and Order of Eastern Star Lodge No. 316.

Larry was the tour guide for Scottish Rite, Grand Lodge Area Representative for the State of Indiana and an Ambassador of the Indiana Masonic Home.

Other survivors include his mother of Morristown; daughters, Celia (Phillip) Breeding of Eaton, Jennifer Jill (Greg) Bollman of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Amy Lynne (Russell) Sprague of Lawrenceburg; brother, Jack (Sharon) Cochran of Morristown; sisters, Karen (Bill) Roe of Plainfield and Joyce (Norman) Warfield of Morristown; eleven grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; special friends, Ron and Linda Deardorff and family; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a sons, Scott Bryant and John Scott Wolfe.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville with Masonic services at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at the funeral home, with Masonic Chaplain Cleon Wright officiating.

Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
