Suzanne (Wallace) Hayes, 67, of Greenfield, passed away Dec. 28, 2014, at Community Hospital North. She was born on June 24, 1947, in Indianapolis as the daughter of Clyde “Bill” and Ina Frances (Matlock) Wallace.
She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1965.
Suzanne had worked as an Executive Assistant at Indiana National Bank and then Regions Bank before retiring in 2007. She was a member of Mohawk United Methodist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren; and enjoyed spending time gardening and doing puzzles.
Suzanne is survived by her son, Derek Hayes of Fishers; daughter, Jennifer (Sam) Hayes of Indianapolis; mother, Ina Frances Wallace of Greenfield; sister, Elaine Cox of Greenfield; and grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor and Sheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Wallace and brother-in-law, Noble Cox.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, also at the mortuary. Reverend Woody Thompson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
