Norman H. Edwards, 94, of Carthage died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at the St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, Ind., while surrounded by his family. He was born July 21, 1920, in Fortville, Ind., to the late Fletcher and Mae (Kimberlin) Edwards.

He served in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Europe.

Norman loved his family and is survived by three children; son, Harold (Peggy) Edwards of Carthage; daughters, Marilyn (David) Wicker of Greenfield and Ruth (Dr. Doug) Schweikhardt of Rushville; 9 grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; siblings, Maxine Carson and Jerry Edwards both of Carthage, Rex Edwards of Greenfield and Dorothy Robertson of Cincinnati, Ohio.

In addition to his parents; Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Edwards; siblings, Velma Leisure, Paul and Carl Edwards all from Carthage.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at the funeral home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Allen Collier and Mike Sherman officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post 157 and an active duty contingent from the Army.
