Mamie Wilda Cole, 87, of Carthage, Ind., passed away peacefully, joining her husband Hubert (Jr.) Cole, Dec. 22, 2014. Mamie was born on April 15, 1927, in Glade, W.V. to the late McKinley and Hattie Vance.
She was member of Church of God. She enjoyed working outdoors, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and listening to Gospel and Country music. She worked in dietary at the Hancock Regional Hospital for twenty-three years.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Patsy (Butch) Kuhns, Betty (Allen) Ross, Shirley (Steve) Coop, Debbie Cole; son, Justin (Miki) Cole; son-in-law, Bob Conley; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents; Mamie was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Conley.
Friends may visit from 11 until noon on Friday Dec. 26, 2014. Services for Mamie will be at noon, Friday Dec. 26, 2014, at Shirley Friends Church, Shirley, Ind., with Rev. Jimmy Jackson presiding.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church, Freewill Lane, Mt. Hope, WV from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert C Byrd Dr. Beckley, WV, 25801.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Mamie can be made to HERITAGE FUNERAL CARE to help defray funeral costs. Arrangements entrusted to HERITAGE FUNERAL CARE, Knightstown Ind.
