Mary Louise (Klotz) Garst, 96, of Fortville, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at home, surrounded by her family. Mary Lou was born Oct. 26, 1918, in Oaklandon, Ind., to the late Andrew and Louise (Strasburger) Klotz.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Garst, Gregory Garst, and David (Jane Ann) Garst, all of Fortville, Anthony (Kimberly) Garst of McCordsville and William (Stephanie) Garst and Richard Garst, both of Fortville; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three great-stepgrandchildren; and sister, Katherine Garst of Thorntown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Garst in 2000; infant son, Thomas; and brothers, Andrew Klotz and Bernard Klotz.
Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A Rosary service will be held there at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 20, 2014, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Fortville. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
