James Thomas Bolka, 72, of New Palestine, died peacefully with his family at his side on Dec. 16, 2014, at Community Hospital East. James was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Michigan City, Ind., to the late Thomas J. Bolka and Clara S. (Wozniak) Bolka.

James worked in machine repair for PK USA Machine Company, and was a veteran of the Army.

Mr. Bolka is survived by his partner of six years, Patricia Wise; 5 daughters, Tricia Smith (Doug) of Alger, Ohio; Dodie Bolka of Michigan City, Ind.; Kayann Stodden (Robert) of Michigan City, Ind.; Kristen Kelly (James) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Tasha Bolka of New Palestine; 2 sons, Richard Bolka (Diane) of Michigan City, Ind., and Rocky Downs of Westfield, Il. 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and one brother; Eugene Bolka (Sumee) of Rapid City, S.D.

In addition to his parents; Mr. Bolka was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Pearson) Bolka, Sept. 6, 2007.

Visitation for James Thomas Bolka will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine chapel, 19 East Main St., New Palestine, IN. A second calling is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, from 1-5 p.m. with services beginning at 5 p.m. st Ott Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St. Michigan City, IN. 46360
