S. Mack Coleman, 92, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Mack was born on Sept. 1, 1922, to the late George H. and Theresa A. (Walker) Coleman.

Mack graduated from Franklin High School in 1941 and went on to attend Indiana Central on a basketball scholarship. He was a lab technician for Eli Lilly in Greenfield for over 25 years.

He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield. Mack also served in the Coast Guard during WWII. He is a former Mason and Shriner, and was a life member of both the Franklin Elks Lodge and the Franklin American Legion. Mack was very active, golf being his favorite pastime. He was also an avid IU and Colts fan.

Mack is survived by his son, Brent (Belinda) Coleman of Columbus, Ind.; his daughter, Michele (LeRoy) Cronk of Wilkinson; sister, Freida C. Alpert of East Walpole, Mass.; grandchildren, Baron (Jessica) Coleman of Montgomery, Ala., Kasey (Scott) Galantine of McDonough, Ga., Elizabeth (Chris Kidd) Sauer of Greenwood, and McKenna (Eric Foist) Evens of Avon, Ind.; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mack is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris Coleman of 32 years, whom passed in 1977; and his companion of 25 years, Ricki Craig.

A public visitation for Mack will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral services will be the following day at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Park Cemetery.
