Lowell E. Spencer, Jr., 90, of Morristown, Ind., passed away Sunday, Dec. 7th in Indianapolis. Lowell was born in Danville, Ind., on July 8, 1924, a son of the late Maybelle (Crawley) and Lowell E. Spencer, Sr.
He was a Funeral Director and Owner of Hauk-Spencer Mortuary in Morristown, Ind. He was a WWII Veteran and a lifetime member of the Morristown American Legion Post #109, Member of the Morristown Masonic Lodge #193, Morristown Eastern Star, and the Morristown Christian Church.
Survivors include, son, L.V. Spencer, Houston, Texas; brothers, John and Tom Spencer; grandchildren, Shelley Spencer-Hellmich, Lanny Spencer, Sarah Conn, Scott, Matt, Todd and Craig Spencer and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Hauk Spencer; sons, Lowell E. Spencer, III, and Chuck Spencer.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Masonic Service and the Eastern Star to follow on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at the mortuary. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, in Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel.
Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery Morristown, Ind.
