Frankie R. Cleek, 82 of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Shirley, passed away Thursday morning Dec. 4, 2014, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born March 13, 1932, in Shirley, Ind., the son of the late Arlen and Annetta (Martin) Cleek.

After graduating from Kennard High school he proudly served his country during the Korean war. He was a dedicated public servant and was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Shirley Christian Church, Shirley Lions Club, Shirley Historical Society, and was a member for over 50 years of the Masonic Lodge 531 of Shirley, and the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis.  Frankie retired from Delco Remy in Anderson after 34 years of service.

Survivors include his daughter, Tina (David) Madden of Bellbrook, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kevin, Kristin, Elizabeth Madden all of Bellbrook, Ohio; two nieces, Cyndi (Steve) Snider of Shirley, and Gina Bruner; nephews, Mark (Julie) Bruner, Gary Kiser, Mick Kiser and Tom Bruner; sister, Arleene (Robert) Bruner of Ruskin, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eleanor in 2012; and son, Eric Cleek.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 12 prior to the service. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Gary Sickle officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
