Donald G. Moon, 79, of Greenfield, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Dec. 5, 2014. Don was born Aug. 9, 1935 in Fort Smith, Ark., to the late Wylie B. Moon and Hollis Gassaway.

Don was a graduate of Jasper (Texas) High School and attended Tulsa University and Yale University. He served in the Air force in Korea. He retired in 1992 after 26 years with Miller Printing Equipment Corp. in Pittsburgh. He was many times awarded and recognized for his accomplishments in the printing industry.

A kind, gentle, generous soul he was blessed with many friends by whom, he will be sadly missed. Don enjoyed traveling, yard work, crossword puzzles, Colts football, and a good laugh and conversation. His love and wisdom will forever be with us.

Survivors include his eternally loving and devoted wife, Tracey who will cherish him forever; son, Taylor Mac Moon; daughters, Robin Moses, Kimberly Mullins, and Karen Hallmark; many grandchildren; sister, Carol Darland; equally loved by his in-laws, Ben and Connie Haines, Leslie Rebilas, Ben Haines Jr., Forrest Haines; and a bounty of nephews and nieces.

Don was preceded in death by both parents.

Tracey gives a special thanks to his many doctors, especially Dr. Harold Longe and Dr. Charles Taylor for the superior medical care they have provided over his last years. She is especially grateful to their nephew, Casey Rebilas, for the loving cradling he provided in his final days.

As per his wishes, there will be no calling. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Park Cemetery, 621 South State Street, Greenfield, IN, 46140 in Greenfield.
