Malinda Margaret Oney Turner Miller

Malinda Margaret Oney Turner Miller, 93, of Greenfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Greenfield. Born Sept.r 3, 1921, at Little Perry in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Everett Oney and Louella Thomas Oney.

Margaret was a homemaker and worked at the garment factory in Olive Hill while lovingly raising her six children. After raising her children, she moved to Greenfield, Indiana, where she resided for 46 years and operated her own cleaning service. Later in life, she simply enjoyed spending time with each of her children and grandchildren. She always derived much joy from helping her family and never lost her passion for cooking and cleaning. She will be lovingly remembered.

Margaret is survived by one son, Larry (Judith) Turner of Greenfield, Indiana; five daughters, Lana Turner Swim of Rushville, Indiana, Barbara (Kennard) Landreth of Mooreland, Indiana, Connie Richardson and husband Jim Mullins of Morehead, Judy (Ivan) Withrow of Findlay, Ohio, and Sandra (Estill) Crisp of Morehead; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Carl Oney of Muncie, Indiana, and Ervin (Jewell) Oney of Morehead City, North Carolina; two sisters, Faye McGraw of St. Albans, West Virginia, and Eula Adkins of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by Ervin Turner, the father of her children, and Howard Miller; three sisters, Hildreth Hoover, Edna Ferguson and Lillian Lucas; two brothers, Everett Oney, Jr., and Edmund Oney; one grandson, Justin Lee Crisp; and one son-in-law, Charles Swim.

Visitation was after 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel with Rev. Allan Hutchinson and Rev. Elwood Evans officiating. Burial followed in Turner Memorial Cemetery on Little Perry Road in Morehead.
