Melissa Michelle Smallwood, 21, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, in Indianapolis. She was born Friday, April 23, 1993, in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of Scott Smallwood and Jennifer Tarvin Wright.
She was a member of Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield. Melissa loved to sing and sang like an angel. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and had a heart for others. Everyone loved being around her. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Surviving are mother, Jennifer and Robert Wright of Greenfield; father, Scott and Cathy Smallwood of Cincinnati, Ohio; half- sister, Jessica Smallwood of Cincinnati, Ohio; half-sister and half-brothers, Emily, Christian and Seth Wright of Greenfield; maternal grandparents, Larry and Susan Tarvin of Aurora, Ind., Brenda and Danny Clem of Aurora, Ind.; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Carolyn Smallwood of Cincinnati, Ohio; paternal step-grandparents, Elizabeth Harriman and Donald Wright of Indianapolis; niece, Charlee Smallwood; several aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Friends will be received 4 – 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at the Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E New Rd, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be immediately following visitation at 6 p.m. at the church with Pastor Gary Wright officiating.
A second visitation will be held 4 – 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
Services will be immediately following visitation at 6 p.m. at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Wright officiating.
Private graveside services will be held by the family at the Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro, Ind.
