June L. Skrok, 90, of McCordsville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis. She was born Feb. 27, 1924. in Salamanca, N.Y. to the late James and Iva (Weaver) Newark.
June worked at Triangle Shoe Store in New York and Bailey’s Beautician Supply Co. in Indianapolis. She attended Geist Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Seneca Lodge No. 464.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Weese of McCordsville; granddaughter, Sherry (Tony) Hall of McCordsville; great-grandchildren, Branden, Ashton, Cayden, Jocelyn, Kelston and Mason; brother, James H. Newark of Wellsville, N.Y.; and sister, Anna Riddle of Pompano Beach, Fla.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Skrok; son-in-law, Richard Weese; twin-brother, Jack E. Newark; brother, Burton E. Newark; and sister, Marion Pieklo.
Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral service will begin there at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
