Bobby Jack Gulley Sr.

Bobby Jack Gulley Sr., 83, of New Palestine, passed away Nov. 17, 2014. He was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Middlesboro, Ky., to George Washington Gulley and Roxie Virginia (Earley) Gulley.

Jack attended the University of Kentucky where he played fullback on the football team, and was inducted into the Middlesboro Hall of Fame. Jack served honorably in the Marine Corps, and in 1960 began working for Ed Martin Auto Dealers.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a son, Thomas Lee  (Shelley) Gulley and daughter, Susan Marie (Brian) Gulley Carrow; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents; Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann (Sanford) Gulley; and son, Bobby Jack Gulley Jr.

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Hendryx Mortuaries New Palestine Chapel. Services for Jack will be at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery immediately following the service.
