Jeanette Swartz, 89, a long time Rush County resident, passed away Nov. 18, 2014, at her home in Rushville. She was born Oct. 30, 1925, in Warren County, Ky., to John B. & Mary Z. (Tinsley) Brown.

Jeanette married Joseph H. "Bud" Swartz on June 2, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1979.

   Jeanette worked many years at Minear's Department Store in Rushville. She also worked at Little Angels gift store in Rushville & the Country Fair Restraunt in Homer. She was a member of the Rushville Church of Christ. She loved & adored her family and the Lord.

   She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Danny) Percell of Rushville, MaryLou (Dan) Piper of Rushville & Marty (Bill) Foster of Greenfield; a brother, Jack (Nerva) Brown of Middletown, Ind.; a sister, Diana (Bob) Robinson of Manilla; grandchildren, Sherry (Greg) Smith, Melinda Burton, Michael (Becca) Percell, Amy Wilson, Patrick Piper, Mandi Couch, Seth Piper & Elizabeth (Jordan) Carroll; 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson; a sister & 4 brothers.

   Friends are welcome to visit from 5-8 p.m. Friday evening at the mortuary. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Moster Mortuary in Rushville. Jerry Holdman will preside and burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.

   Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice or the Donor's favorite charity.
