Jerry Emmerling, 85, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, Nov. 08, 2014, at Rawlins House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pendleton. She was born Aug. 18, 1929, in Rhea Co., Tenn., to the late William and Elizabeth (Wyatt) Spurling.

Jerry was a graduate of the old Fortville High School, a 25 year member of the Fortville Order of the Eastern Star No. 149 and a 50 year member of the Rebecca Lodge #114 in Greenfield.

Jerry retired in 1982 from the Mental Health Association in Anderson, prior to that she had worked at the Ft. Benjamin Harrison Finance and Accounting Center for 15 years.

She is survived by husband, Arthur O. Emmerling whom she married Dec. 28, 1974; sons, Douglas (Annie) Lindamood of Interlachen, Fla., and John “Richie” (Pam) Lindamood of Edinburgh, Ind.; step-children, Michael (Ginger) Emmerling of Noblesville, Tom (Terri) Emmerling of Alexandria, Ind., Robin (Curt) Simpson of Dover, Fla., Jill Emmerling of Anderson and Mitzi (Ted) Pruitt of Frankton, Ind.; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by son, David L. Lindamood; grandson, Craig Lindamood; sisters, Beatrice McMillian, Ruth Barker and Mary Martin; and brothers, John Edward and Bill Spurling.

Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at The Bridge Church, Fortville. A memorial service will begin at the church at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fortville Order of the Eastern Star No. 149.
