Wade Robin Lakes, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening October 11, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. A son of the late Dennis Lakes and Mary M. (McQueen) Lakes- Pryor, Robin was born on Aug. 11, 1958, in New Castle.

Robin grew up in the Cambridge City community and moved to Greenfield when he was 11 years old. He attended Greenfield Central High School and in his leisure enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. Robin worked in construction and was employed by Baumgartner Construction Company of Noblesville.

Robin is survived by his wife, of 37 years, the former Debbie Farquer. They were married in Maxwell, on July 17, 1977; two daughters, Heather (Casey) Short of Greenfield, Crystal ( companion, C.J. Stallworth) Lakes of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Jacob Miller Jr., Caleb and Hannah Short, Andrew and Dreyden Lakes and Chandler Stallworth; brother, Dennis (Linda) Lakes of Cape Coral, FL; two sisters, Linda Hall of Cambridge City and Sue (Don) Niece of Knightstown; brother in-law, Jim Hall of Dublin and several nieces and nephews.

Robin was preceded in death by his father in 1986; mother in 1992;  two brothers, David Lakes in 1987 and Ralph Lakes in 2014.

Honoring Robin’s wish, a graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at Asbury Cemetery, 10751 N. Asbury Rd., Morristown, Indiana 46161.

The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
