Debra Sue "Debbie" Longwell, 61, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born July 10, 1953, in Indianapolis, the daughter of James W. "Bill" and Margaret L. (Morphew) Bratton.
She married David A. Longwell on Dec. 5, 1970, and he survives. Debbie graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. She was a member of The Restoration Church in Greenwood. Debbie was previously employed as an associate at Exel in Indianapolis, she had formerly worked at Overhead Door in Shelbyville and I.P.C. in Morristown. She retired in 2006. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially babysitting with her grandchildren.
Other survivors include her sons, Jimmy (Angie) Longwell of North Vernon and Andy (Ashley) Longwell of Morristown; daughter, Angela (Shane) Snyder of Gwynneville; brother, Billy Bratton of Shelbyville; grandchildren, David, Jake, Jack, Keegan, Chloe, Aubrey, Cody, Devyn and Kane; brother-in-law, Stephen Light of Indianapolis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Diana Light.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Stephenson officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
