Jon Allan Brown, 71, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health. He was born on Oct. 17, 1942, in Indianapolis as the son of Willis N. and Leona G. (Edwards) Brown. He graduated from Mt. Comfort High School in 1960.
Jon spent his years in the automotive parts business and was the owner of the Napa Store in Greenfield. After he retired he purchased a Goodyear Tire Shop in Mooresville, Ind. Mr. Brown enjoyed classic cars and going to car shows in his Camaro.
He is survived by his son, Jon Brown of South Bay, Fla.; daughters, Laura (Mick) Thompson and Angie Brown both of Dunedin, Fla.; sister, Dorothy Hollenbaugh of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Kyrsten Gieseke, Justin Savage, Jake Savage, Stanley Ziemba; great-great-granddaughter, Paisley Gieseke; and partner for 30 years, Dianna Roberts and her extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis N. and Leona G. (Edwards) Brown; and sister, Mary K. Murnan.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, also at the mortuary. Pastor Russ Jarvis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
