Bonnie S. (Martin) Gilliland, 72, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born on Sept. 16, 1942, in Henry County as the daughter of Robert and Artie E. Martin. She married Patrick L. Gilliland on May 10, 1962, in Willow Branch.
She was a Personal Banking Representative for Bank One and then later Chase until she retired in 2007. Mrs. Gilliland enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and sewing.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Patrick L. Gilliland; son, P. John (Holly) Gilliland of Fishers; daughter, Sherry S. (Brian) Borshoff of Carmel; brother, Robert Martin of Lancaster, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Britney, Tiffany, Patrick, Owen, and Mark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Artie E. Martin; and sister, Nancy Williams.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, also at the mortuary. Rev. Jim Ramsey will be officiating. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
